The 25-year-old is competing for Player of the Month against Finn Azaz of Plymouth Argyle, Jack Clarke of Sunderland, and Liam Lindsay of Preston North End.
September saw City win all but one of their league games, with Mavididi contributing two assists and a goal in their 4-1 victory against Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium. Kelechi Iheanacho also scored from the spot against Norwich City after winning a penalty.
On Friday, the winner will be declared.
