West Ham United manager David Moyes will be looking to make two signings in particular next summer.

David Moyes is clearly building an incredibly exciting squad at West Ham, but we are undoubtedly two or three players short of being able to jump up to the next level and challenge for the Champions League places.

The Hammers boss will be looking to add a top-class striker and an elite left-back or left wing-back to his ranks at the end of this season.

Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell are both well past their best and Moyes has to bring in a couple of upgrades. That obviously won’t come cheap though, so the West Ham owners will have to be prepared to back the Scot.

West Ham teenage duo could save Moyes millions in the transfer market

Divin Mubama and Ollie Scarles are hugely talented young players and in my opinion, they are both good enough to play for the senior team.

Are the 18-year-old and 17-year-old good enough to replace the two West Ham stalwarts? I think so.

Mubama is an elite forward in the making. He has pace and power in abundance and possesses incredible movement. That’s not even taking into account his elite finishing ability.

His record for the under-18s and under-21s speaks for himself, but he has also proven that he’s capable of mixing it with the very best with his performances for the senior team.

Meanwhile, the same can be said of Scarles. The 17-year-old is an unbelievably gifted young player and he is obviously rated very highly by Moyes – he recently committed his long-term future to the Hammers.

Scarles possesses incredible technical ability and has plenty of energy, stamina and athleticism. The West Ham youngster is a definite star of the future, there’s no doubt about that.

Given the state of the current transfer market, Moyes would easily have to spend £60 million if he were to sign a new centre-forward and left-back next summer.

Just look at some of the prices being quoted for a couple of Moyes’s targets…

Arsenal allegedly want around £30 million for Kieran Tierney (The Sun), whilst Sevilla are demanding £30-35 million for Youssef En-Nesyri (Daily Mail).

Meanwhile, PSG are asking for around £34 million for Hugo Ekitike (Sports Zone), and Chelsea ace Ian Maatsen is valued at £20 million plus.

West Ham manager David Moyes might not have to splash out millions to replace Cresswell and Antonio next year though. In fact, he may not have to spend anything at all…
