Sue Smith was heaped praise on Jack Harrison’s stunning goal against Bournemouth.

Speaking on Sky Sports News, the pundit hailed the Everton winger for his ‘moment of absolute brilliance’.

Everton made it three wins in four games in all competitions and ended their four-game run without a victory at Goodison Park as they came out on top this afternoon.

After James Garner handed the Toffees the lead with the opener inside ten minutes, Harrison sent the crowd ecstatic with an absolute beauty from 25 yards out.

Harrison’s screamer was his first goal since arriving on Merseyside in the summer, in what was his first start on home soil.

The Leeds United loanee has already received plenty of praise for his goal in front of his new supporters and Smith was quick to comment on his excellent finish.

“It’s Jack Harrison with a moment of absolute brilliance,” Smith told Sky Sports.

“Just really composed, he plays it over the top of Neto. You have to question the position of the goalkeeper but it’s a brilliant finish from Harrison.”

Everton have now moved up to 15th place in the Premier League and currently sit three points above the relegation zone.

Turned things around?

Everton fans looked at home matches against Luton Town and Bournemouth and were adamant they needed to pick up maximum points.

After back-to-back wins over Aston Villa and Brentford, the defeat to the Hatters was a really tough one to take. However, they have brushed it off very well and were brilliant today.

Their form has dramatically improved in recent weeks and they will hope the display against Rob Edwards’ side was just a blip, while they can hopefully now concentrate on kickstarting their campaign and moving up the table.

The real test is yet to come though, with the short trip to Liverpool scheduled for after the international break. There will be very low expectations on Sean Dyche‘s side, however if there is ever the time for the Merseyside derby to occur, it is now.
