Sunderland AFC Women is thrilled to announce the signing of Grace Ede to a new contract.
The 18-year-old will complete her education this year before becoming a full-time model on a professional contract the following season. Despite her youth, the left-sided midfielder has already played 32 times for the Club and has appeared in every game for the Lasses this season.
She has also played for the Lionesses’ younger teams, captaining them against the Republic of Ireland Under-19s earlier this year.
“I’m really excited,” Ede stated after signing her new contract. I’ve been with Sunderland since I was a child, and signing my new contract is a dream come true for me. I’m excited to see what the future holds and to make more experiences with this Club.”
“We are pleased to reward Grace with a contract on her 18th birthday,” said General Manager Alex Clark. She’s been at the Club since she was 16, and before that, at the RTC. This contract recognizes all of her efforts over the last two seasons.”
