The scenario with Andrey Santos at the City Ground may make it more difficult for Chelsea to sign another Brazilian wonderkid, according to the most recent Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive.

According to reports, Andrey Santos’ predicament at Nottingham Forest could derail Chelsea’s plans to sign Brazilian wonderkid Gabriel Moscardo from Corinthians.

Santos joined Forest on a season-long loan from Chelsea, but has yet to play in the Premier League. When Santos is healthy, Forest is reportedly have to pay “mutually-agreed financial penalties” for not starting him.

Since Santos didn’t get much playing time at the City Ground, the Blues, who are competing with Barcelona to sign the gifted young Brazilian Moscardo, may lose out on the opportunity. Moscardo, whose agent also represents Santos, would probably also be loaned out by Chelsea.

Given how Santos’ time at the team has gone thus far, Moscardo might hesitate before accepting Chelsea’s offer. This might give Barcelona the upper hand in securing a deal for Moscardo, according to the Spanish publication Sport.

Although Santos played the whole 90 minutes in the Carabao Cup loss to Burnley in August, Reds manager Steve Cooper says he is not in a rush to integrate Santos into the team.

After his team’s defeat to City, he said, “We’ve really have to find the balance of integrating these players right. “Some of them haven’t even changed today, but if they keep going, they will eventually join our team,” said the coach.
