As expected just one change, Conor Coady replacing suspended defender Jannik Vestergaard. Coady making his league debut for Leicester on a day that would turn out as well as anyone would have hoped for.

Leicester were dominant from start, but not really able to penetrate as much as we would have hoped for, not really any treath at all in front of goal .

Leicester had the ball a lot, but not stretching Preston enough; instead it was The Lilywhites that had a few attempts and again Leicester having little or no power in front of goal.

Fist half ended 0-0, but with great hope for a good 2nd half to look forward to. Maresca made no changes from the srart of 2nd half, as his players came out in a positive way.

Leicester took the lead in the 60th minute with a nice assist from Wilfred Ndidi. again being superb in his new offensive midfiekd role, 2nd half stretching the Preston defence with his running.

Preston was finished when Leicester scored their first goal, having little or no power to utsette Leicester at all, seeing sub Kelechi Iheanacho scoring Leicester’s 2nd goal, set up brilliantly by Ndidi. Leicester then striked agsin i the 90th minute when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall striked from close range and settled a fantastic 3-0 win.

A new convincing and very important win as the gap down to Preston was stretched to 7 points.
