Leeds have a young star whose international standing is in doubt.

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has a talented young kid who is now coveted by two countries who want him to swear his international allegiance to them, according to sources.

What is the most recent Leeds United news?

Leeds United lost their six-match unbeaten record in the Sky Bet Championship last weekend, falling 3-1 away to Southampton on the South Coast, dropping the Whites to ninth in the league standings with 13 points from their first nine games.

On the Square Ball podcast, The Athletic journalist Phil Hay predicted that three Leeds United players will be named for the Whites’ home match against Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday.

“You fully expect Ampadu to stay in the team,” Hay said. “I suppose the question is, does Archie Gray come back in?” Is Farke a little unpredictable there? Aside from that, is today a good night for Jaidon Anthony to make his debut? That could be justified, but I expect all eyes will be on Rodon, will he return to the center of defense? “I believe the answer is unequivocally yes.”

Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson told MOT Leeds News: “I don’t know the situation with him (Gelhardt) and the manager, but I suspect that the manager would be reluctant to let him go until he gets Bamford back fully firing and fully fit, but even then you can’t guarantee it.”

Jeremiah Mullen of Leeds United has been called up to Scotland’s Under-21 squad and will be available for the youthful Tartan Army side in their forthcoming double header against Hungary and Malta at Fir Park.
