Cody Drameh responds to Birmingham City’s ‘impressive’ win over Leeds United following his loan exit on deadline day.Cody Drameh makes Cardiff City loan move - Leeds United
Cody Drameh is “very happy” to be at Birmingham City after seeing their “very impressive” win over Leeds United this season.

On 1 September, after clinching a late loan move to St. Andrew’s, the Whites ace told the Blues’ official website that he observed “hunger and determination” when they beat Daniel Farke’s side 1-0 on 12 August in a “very, very good” environment.

Drameh, 21, was made surplus to requirements at Elland Road on 30 August when Djed Spence was signed on a season-long loan from Tottenham.

“I saw you guys play against Leeds and it was very impressive,” Drameh added. You shown a great deal of appetite and determination. “Hopefully, I’ll be able to start contributing.” You have a good mix of young and experience, and I am now a member of that youth, so I am excited and ready to go.”

Drameh’s departure from Leeds United this summer is undoubtedly the most understandable from his perspective.

With his last-gasp departure to Bournemouth, Luis Sinisterra joined the ranks of those that Whites fans will be reluctant to welcome back, since so many seemed hell-bent on leaving the club following relegation.

Drameh, on the other hand, appears to have been forced to leave West Yorkshire after yet another manager decided not to give him a fair chance.

Spence is a solid Spurs signing who should be a valuable asset for Farke this season, but Drameh looked like he had earned his chance after impressive loan transfers to Cardiff City and Luton Town in the Championship over the last two years.

Despite several transfer rumours during the summer, the youthful right-back appeared to be content to stay at the club and play, as he only left towards the conclusion of the window once Spence arrived.

It’s strange that after being demoted, Farke didn’t turn to a player who had proven himself capable in the second tier in both prior seasons, instead sticking with Luke Ayling and then attempting to add another.

Sam Byram entered the room.

Although he has mostly played on the left, the management still planned to spend a lot of money on Max Aarons until Bournemouth, as usual, ruined the party.

While it is unsurprising that some of the players who have departed this summer are unpopular at the moment, it is tough to blame Drameh for his departure, and with his contract expiring, he is unlikely to return.

In other Leeds United news, Sinisterra’s agent has spoken out about his client’s “fight” to leave the club before the deadline.
