According to Fabrizio Romano, West Ham United and Daniel Rigge are about to reach an agreement. Fabrizio Romano claims that Daniel Rigge is about to agree to a new contract with West Ham United.

Romano revealed that four Premier League clubs and two La Liga clubs were interested in the 17-year-old in the summer via his personal X account on Sunday (1 October).

The attacking-minded midfielder from England’s junior team joined the Irons last summer after leaving Manchester City. He has a fantastic pedigree, having progressed through Man City’s system, perhaps the greatest in the world right now, and been shaped over the course of a year at West Ham.

Rigge undoubtedly has a long way to go, but the interest in him, particularly from abroad, shows that this young man may have something unique.

Romano’s update is reassuring since it demonstrates that West Ham appears to be a decent club for young players to be at, which is promising moving forward as we hope to see the next Declan Rice emerge in East London.
