Hugo Ekitike will depart Paris Saint-Germain during the January transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano, a transfer news analyst.

According to Romano in his exclusive Daily Briefing column, the gifted young Frenchman hasn’t yet found his footing at PSG and it appears he may be permitted to move on after recently being on the lists of both Crystal Palace and Eintracht Frankfurt.

For a team like Palace, who would undoubtedly profit from bringing in a quality young attacking player to develop around for the foreseeable future, Ekitike might be a fascinating addition.

The 21-year-old would undoubtedly benefit from moving to Selhurst Park as it would give him the opportunity to play more frequently having previously grabbing the attention of Reims but failing to advance into the first team at the Parc des Princes too frequently.

It remains to be seen if Palace will definitely be back in for Ekitike, however, so this looks like an open situation ahead of January.

“Hugo Ekitike – The young forward will leave PSG in January, let’s see which clubs will try to sign him as it remains a quiet situation at the moment,” Romano said.

“It will be one for December. Crystal Palace had him on their list but then nothing else concrete, he was also on Eintracht Frankfurt’s list.”
