The list of injuries for Manchester United is getting shorter as they get ready to play Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Three injury enhancements have been granted to Manchester United ahead of their Saturday matchup against Crystal Palace. The Eagles, led by Oliver Glasner, are still in pursuit of their first league victory of the season when they host the Red Devils at Selhurst Park later on Saturday.

United’s season hasn’t started off well either, with just six points from their first four games. However, a convincing victory over Southampton last weekend and a 7-0 victory over Barnsley in the Carabao Cup appear to have greatly improved morale.

Though, they are going have to follow up those results with a win at Palace to keep those positive vibes rolling, and they will be helped by a number of injury boosts. Victor Lindelof  has been absent of late with a toe injury but has now returned to training with the club website detailing: “Victor Lindelof has resumed training with the Manchester United squad. The Sweden captain has been absent after suffering a toe problem.”

Elsewhere, Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount are also said to return, and while Lindelof is unlikely to feature just yet, Hojlund and Mount just might. “It’s very good news,” United boss Erik ten Hag has said. “They are back on the pitch, they are back in team training and, yeah, we have to decide whether they are fit enough to start. But I think it’s very pleasing they are back with the squad. We have so many games also in this block to cover, so, yeah, very happy.”

Injuries and treading carefully

Ten Hag has had a number of injury issues within his squad early in the season, and he was asked in his latest press conference whether the club need to be more careful with players.

“Careful in top football? You always go through boundaries, so it’s not avoidable,” the Dutchman responded. “But when you have a full squad available, then it is more easy to manage the load. And when you are in the circumstances like last season, then there is a need to play. Then, also, you have to overload them. So, we hope we can integrate them in a very careful way.”
