Mikayil Faye’s future at Barcelona has taken yet another twist with the club reportedly telling the defender he will stay at the club and be part of the first-team squad.
Barcelona had been in talks with FC Porto over a move for the defender but it seems the two clubs can’t reach an agreement, according to multiple reports.
The Catalans were willing to sell for €15m, but Porto only offered €5m, which means Faye is going nowhere for now.
Instead, the club have told Faye he will be promoted and be part of Hansi Flick’s squad for the 2024-25 campaign.
