The Nigerian is currently available for a free transfer, having previously being valued at £52 million.

Wilfred Ndidi, a former star for Leicester City, is said to be eager to work with Brendan Rodgers again at Celtic.

The Nigerian left the King Power Stadium at the end of the previous season, making him a free agent as of right now. Ndidi, 27, was previously valued at £52 million and was at his peak when he was a member of the Foxes under Rodgers. Real Madrid even took notice of his exceptional achievements the previous year, and Manchester United has also been connected to him in the past.

The holding midfielder is now available for a free move, which would be a huge coup for the Scottish champions. Ndidi will have choices to remain in the Premier League, but the Daily Record claims that Ndidi’s interest in moving to Parkhead was communicated to the Celts last night.

Although Celtic wouldn’t be able to match the eye-watering wages on offer down south, Ndidi would have the chance to play Champions League football and challenge for silverware in Glasgow. And the ex-Genk star’s relationship with Rodgers could also be a huge factor in his decision this summer.

Ndidi lifted the FA Cup and Community Shield under Rodgers in 2021 and was a regular under newly-appointed Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca last season as Leicester City sealed promotion by winning the Championship.
