A £25 million offer from West Ham for Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo was rejected.
After failing to reach an agreement with Wolves over a price for Max Kilman, West Ham’s new manager, Julen Lopetegui, is searching for a replacement center back and has set his sights on the Frenchman.

After leaving Barcelona to join Nice in 2021, Todibo was previously wanted by Manchester United and Tottenham. It’s unclear if West Ham will make a better offer for the Frenchman, 24, when they return.
Club insiders have not ruled out repurchasing Kilman at this time. Last month, West Ham’s offer of £30 million plus add-ons for the Wolves captain was turned down. Despite objecting to Kilman’s £45 million asking price, West Ham is still pursuing the defender. Kilman was handled by Lopetegui at Wolves, and he is a huge fan of his.
Kyle Walker-Peters, a right-back for Southampton, is still a target for West Ham. Walker-Peters might be a part of an agreement that would see Southampton acquire Flynn Downes, a midfield player.
