The 35-year-old, who made an impression for Slovakia at Euro 2024, is looking for clarity in the Toon after they signed a two-year contract with John Ruddy of Birmingham City and Odysseas Vlachodimos of Nottingham Forest.

The Premiership champions have apparently searched far and wide for a new goalkeeper, despite the veteran keeper having discussions with Brendan Rodgers’ team last month.

Following the devastating defeat by England, Dubravka commented, “I have no idea.” I’ve noticed them conversing with other stoppers. I must first talk to the management. What’s the deal with me? What lies ahead for me? It’s unclear to me whether they want me to stay. I find it challenging because I have been concentrating on my work with the national team.”
