For the 2024–2025 season, Jack Harrison has returned to Everton on loan from Leeds United. The 27-year-old forward, who had a great loan season the previous season, is back at Goodison Park for Everton’s final campaign.

Harrison moved from Elland Road last August, and manager Sean Dyche made him a regular. He made 35 appearances across all competitions, despite starting later than expected because of a hip ailment.

Harrison said to evertontv, “It’s brilliant to be back,” in reflection on his comeback. I’m eager to resume training for the upcoming preseason since Everton is a great club with a great bunch of guys.

“Last year, I really enjoyed the club,” he continued. Despite a great deal of hardship, we managed to persevere and enjoy a successful season in general.

Harrison highlighted the welcoming environment at Everton as a key factor in his decision to return.

“The fans, the staff, the manager, my teammates – everyone made me feel really comfortable right away and that’s somewhere you want to be as a player. It’s a great place to play football,” he said.

Determined to make a greater impact this season, Harrison stated, “I know I have a lot more to offer. That’s extra motivation for me to go back and prove to myself and to Everton Football Club that I can do more on the pitch.”

Harrison’s career began with New York City FC in 2016 before signing for Manchester City in 2018. After loan spells with Middlesbrough and Leeds United, he made a permanent move to Elland Road in 2021, becoming Leeds’ most prolific dribbler and crosser in the Premier League.

On being part of Everton’s final season at Goodison Park, Harrison expressed his pride: “It’s a great honour to be part of the last season at Goodison. It’s a club with a lot of history and you see how many fans have packed out the stadium for such a long time.”

Everton manager Sean Dyche expressed his satisfaction with Harrison’s return: “We’re pleased Jack will be returning to our squad and look forward to working with him again. He made an important contribution to the progress we made last term, both in terms of our attacking output and the defensive steel throughout the team.”

Harrison becomes Everton’s second summer transfer window addition, joining 20-year-old Aston Villa midfielder Tim Iroegbunam.
