Most West Ham United fans’ attention will have been on England’s Euro 2024 showdown with Serbia, but in the background, the Irons are still working on transfers.

With the window opening on Friday (14 June), the Irons got their business up and running with the signing of Luis Guilherme and while that was a strong start, Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten don’t intend to stop there.

Although nothing was confirmed in terms of moves in or out of the London Stadium on Sunday (16 June) West Ham Zone rounds up all the latest transfer news from East London.

Hammers ramp up Youssef En-Nesyri transfer chase as next step shared

West Ham are expected to ramp up their interest in Sevilla forward Youssef En-Nesyri over the next week, according to Give Me Sport.

The news outlet reported online (16 June) that Julen Lopetegui is “on board” with the transfer as a result of his pre-existing relationship with the striker.

The Hammers plan to find out whether En-Nesyri is interested in a move to London Stadium and whether or not Sevilla are interested in selling him.

Should they get the answers they desire, Lopetegui’s side will look to move quickly for the 27-year-old before any other interested parties submit an offer to Sevilla.

The Irons want to sign Le Havre central defender Etienne Youte Kinkoue this summer after failing to get a deal done in January, according to Ed Aarons.

Writing on his personal X account (15 June), The Guardian journalist reports that the 22-year-old is interesting both the Hammers and Nottingham Forest as he enters the final 12 months of his contract at the Ligue 1 club.

Julen Lopetegui eyes shock move for Tim Krul after transfer setback

The Hammers are considering a “surprise” move for Luton Town goalkeeper Tim Krul this summer, according to Alan Nixon.

The Sun journalist reported via his Patreon on Sunday (16 June) that the Hammers could look to strike a deal with the veteran shot-stopper once his contract at Kenilworth Road expires.

Krul is seen as a possible solution to Julen Lopetegui’s current problems in between the sticks, with transfer target Wes Foderingham yet to put pen to paper on a deal offered to him at London Stadium.

Jose Mourinho eyes Jota Silva ahead of the Irons as £12.6m transfer update emerges

Jose Mourinho wants to hijack West Ham United’s move to sign Vitoria Guimaraes attacker Jota Silva, according to ABola.

Writing on their official website (15 June), the Portuguese news outlet reported that the winger is someone Mourinho likes after taking over as manager of Fenerbahce earlier this month, but no official move has been made.

Julen Lopetegui is also interested in the 24-year-old and despite reports that the club are closing in on a deal for him [Sebastiao Sousa Pinto, 27 May], A Bola say no official offer has arrived from the Hammers yet.

West Ham revive interest in Moise Kean as Juventus talks revealed

West Ham have approached Juventus over a deal for striker Moise Kean this summer, according to Edoardo Mecca.

The Italian journalist reported via his personal X account on Saturday (15 June) that Bologna, Fiorentina, Roma, Lazio, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla have also enquired about the forward.

According to Dean Jones [15 January], the Irons were tipped as a possible destination for the Italian striker during the January transfer window, though a move never materialised.
