Prior to the summer transfer window, Rangers have been informed by Mark Guidi that Jack Butland is the only member of their team valued at more than £5 million.

Although the Englishman has had a fantastic debut season at Ibrox, both fans and analysts believe he will leave this summer after his strong performances are likely to have attracted the attention of Premier League teams.

The leading football writer for the Sunday Mail, Guidi, feels that the English stopper is the only truly marketable player in Philippe Clement’s team, despite the fact that players like Ridvan Yilmaz and James Tavernier have also been predicted to depart this summer.

He stated, “To be honest, I think Jack Butland off the top of my head is the only one that you’d get more than £5million for,” during an appearance on The Go Radio Football Show on June 3, at 36:50.

“They’ll pay £15 million later on for a backup goalie, so Jack Butland will have to decide if he wants to return.” Is there a top spot available among the 20 Premier League clubs? Not that I know of.

“Or is he prepared to confront someone and engage in combat?”

Will Rangers and Philippe Clement sell Jack Butland in the summer transfer window?

The Light Blues are expected to undergo a major rebuild this summer under the management of Clement and for that to happen, the Gers are going to have to raise some funds through player sales sooner rather than later.

It won’t be simple to accomplish that given how few of Clement’s stars have any real financial value. The Belgian will have to let go of some outstanding players if he is to make significant changes this summer.

As suggested by Guidi, Butland is without a doubt the best player now available at Ibrox, but his replacement will come at a high cost, therefore the Gers will be hesitant to let him go after just one season in Glasgow.

But Rangers won’t be able to turn down a big-money offer from a Premier League team that includes higher pay for the Englishman. In the end, rumors concerning Butland’s future are unlikely to end anytime soon.
