According to a story from The Express, Lausanne-Sport midfielder Alvyn Sanches is admired by Coventry City and Stoke City.

This summer, Coventry City and Stoke City will undoubtedly be looking to add new players in order to have more successful campaigns in the future.

Despite not making it to the play-offs following their previous year’s glory, the Sky Blues’ run to the FA Cup semifinal made this season even more unforgettable. Regarding the Potters, they battled relegation for a significant portion of the season but emerged victorious and will be eager to continue.

Business is essential for both, and it appears that the Championship pair have similar goals in mind.

Coventry City and Stoke City are two teams that are interested in Swiss prospect Alvyn Sanches going into the summer window, according to a report from The Express.

The 21-year-old is being pursued by Celtic in addition to playing for Lausanne-Sport in his home country. It is anticipated that he would leave the club for fresh pastures for the upcoming season. His estimated value is £4.3 million.

There is also interest from clubs in Germany, France, and the Netherlands.

Sanches is capable of playing as a striker, attacking midfielder, or central midfielder. He is a regular for Switzerland’s young team and scored six goals in 27 appearances the previous season.

An early move?

Sanches is reportedly slated to leave his club “over the coming weeks,” therefore it might not be long before serious attempts are made to hire him.

Celtic and other European teams are also interested in Sanches, so Coventry City and Stoke City may have to compete for his signature if they choose to pursue their interest.

The Sky Blues have shown that they’ve got money to spend in recent transfer windows and that is likely to be the case again. As for Stoke, Schumacher will be hoping he’s backed in his first summer window in charge of the club.

The midfield ranks

A guy like Sanches might be able to find room at Coventry City or Stoke City based on the roster.

Sanches would provide some new attacking threat in the middle of the park, since Mark Robins appears ready to lose Callum O’Hare. Although the Potters do have Bae Jun-ho, an offensive midfielder may become available given the expiration of Luke Cundle’s loan and uncertainties surrounding Daniel Johnson’s future.

Sanches is a dynamic midfielder who has been used up top, and his goal threat in Switzerland may make him a player to keep an eye on in the Championship.

Though Sanches has options, it is unclear if the second-tier duo will move for him.
