According to a writer, West Ham players saw a falling out between Tim Steidten and David Moyes in what must have been very embarrassing situations.

Ever witness a more “West Ham” tale than the management of the squad forbidding the technical director from being in close proximity to the first team?

It shouldn’t be all that shocking in many respects. It makes sense from a professional standpoint as well.

Why would the manager of West Ham want to talk to and confide in the person who might be his successor?

From now on, we can probably do away with the word “potentially.” David Moyes is set to oversee his last three games as West Ham United’s manager, if the rumors circulating are true.

The huge top has returned this past week, capping four and a half years of unusual stability at a team that has previously been referred to be a “circus” by both its own supporters and outside onlookers.

Every turn and turn of West Ham’s quest for a possible new manager has been reported by the media and on social media.

That is not to argue that everything is true, or even that any of it is.

Moyes confirms Steidten ban

However, we do know that Moyes has prohibited technical director Tim Steidten from being in the vicinity of the Hammers first squad.

Distractions are not something we want because we are focused on the task at hand. I have work to do, and Tim has work to do. Before West Ham’s trip to Chelsea, Moyes stated, “We have three games to play.”

Even among those who have been strongly in favor of “Moyes out,” West Ham supporters have not been pleased with seeing the manager who delivered them their first trophy in forty-three years fed to the media vultures over the previous two weeks.

Proponents believe that greater grace could have been used in handling the entire scenario.

It is also disheartening to consider what future managers may be thinking of it.

Right now, there’s a slight sense that everything at the club could fall apart.

At least ten new players must be added in order to completely revamp the team in the summer. Naturally, that is the fault of Moyes and the owners, who neglected to make it future-proof.

With Julen Lopetegui, the manager’s supposed replacement, going down like a lead balloon with most West Ham supporters, the manager may already be on his way out.

In opposition to the proposed nomination, supporters have even launched a petition.

This is the confirmed split between Moyes and Steidten, who has been the center of attention for West Ham.

Stars witnessed fallout between Moyes and Steidten

Oh to be a fly on the wall behind the scenes.

Well Hammers fans can at least see through the eyes of one, The Times’ Gary Jacob.

West Ham stars witnessed the fallout between Moyes and Steidten claims the journalist.

“The pair have had a strained relationship since disagreements over recruitment last summer,” Jacob has claimed.

“And tensions came to a head this week when Steidten was asked not to enter the team’s dressing room.

“The friction has been witnessed by some West Ham players and Steidten did not spend any time talking to Moyes on the touchline, as he often does, before West Ham’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool last Saturday.”

The last thing anyone wanted was to see the end of Moyes’ tenure turn ugly.

If the Scot is to leave, he deserves to go out with his head held high regardless of his risk averse style on the pitch.

Moyes has put his heart and soul into dragging the Hammers up by their boot straps, restoring pride, professionalism and – for the most part – results.

Don’t let it end like this West Ham

West Ham should not be criticised for doing due diligence on potential replacements. Because had they sat back and waited, they would have been accused of negligence.

There is a way of going about things, though. Especially when it comes to a man who has given the club so much.

West Ham’s biggest mistake has been not announcing the decision over Moyes until the end of the season. Who made that call we don’t know because Moyes himself has repeatedly stated that’s what he wanted too.

The way things are going, that choice ought to be made and publicized the following week in advance of the season’s last home game against Luton.

so that supporters of West Ham may give Moyes the farewell he deserves.

After that, fans might think about accepting whatever Sullivan and Steidten have planned next.

And no one should undervalue that based on the latter’s work at Bayer Leverkusen.
