Italian interest has been expressed, but West Ham says the important player is not for sale.

The defense is by far the poorest part of West Ham’s lineup. It has consistently let goals slip throughout the entire season, and it’s perhaps the biggest reason the team isn’t in a higher position.

But even if he had a difficult beginning to his career in claret and blue, Konstantinos Mavropanos has proven to be not just a dependable choice but also an exceptional player. To be fair, you could see he had this quality from the beginning; it only took him some time to refine it.

Unfortunately, two Italian powerhouses, Inter Milan and Napoli, are reportedly interested in hiring him due to his outstanding achievements.

Fortunately, Hammers News reports that the Greek defender is not up for grabs and that the club would need to offer a huge sum of money before considering letting him go.

“Mavropanos is not for sale unless an absolutely extraordinary offer comes in which Italian clubs can’t afford,” their source stated.

Given how many players our Irons are already likely to lose in the Summer, they simply couldn’t afford to let go off another – especially not their best defender.
