Where Leicester City stands in terms of the most costly season tickets in the Championship

Without a doubt, Leicester City’s Championship campaign has gone well thus far.

After putting their disappointment over being demoted from the Premier League behind them, the Foxes have dominated the league for a significant portion of the season, occasionally maintaining a dominant lead at the top of the rankings.

Things are looking competitive at the top once again, and it looks like an entertaining finish to the campaign with Southampton, Leeds United, and Ipswich Town all very much in the mix.

Leicester City season ticket prices

Setting aside the game for the time being, we thought we’d examine Leicester City’s ticket costs for this season, particularly the price of their season tickets.

Our goal in doing this study was to evaluate the Foxes’ performance in terms of value for money this season, as well as how they compare to other Championship teams.

Leicester City’s season ticket ranked

The lowest adult season ticket offered at the King Power Stadium this season must be known in order to determine where Leicester City’s season tickets rank.

Thankfully, Statista has collected this data, and their findings show that the lowest-priced adult Leicester City season ticket for 2023–2024 was £385.

Despite the club having just dropped down from the Premier League, which could have meant their prices were one of the highest in the division, this is not the case.

According to the Statista data, Leicester City’s £385 season ticket is actually the 12th cheapest available in the division, slightly cheaper than Sunderland’s cheapest offering in 11th (£390) and slightly more expensive than Bristol City’s cheapest in 13th (£375)

Most expensive Championship season tickets

While the lowest priced season ticket available from Leicester is £385, there are other teams in the division that charge significantly more.

Use Middlesbrough as an illustration. The least expensive season ticket available at Riverside Stadium is a whooping £590, which is far more than what Leicester City is offering, according to Statista.

Sheffield Wednesday is purportedly charging £510 for their most affordable full season ticket offering, making it the second most costly adult season ticket in the division.

Completing the top five are Norwich City (£488), Millwall (£441), and Blackburn Rovers (£429).

Cheapest season tickets in the Championship

Even though the clubs listed above have high fees, there are teams in the Championship who provide excellent value.

In the division, Queens Park Rangers has the lowest season ticket price, at just £242, according to Statista.

In terms of value, Huddersfield Town (£249) and Coventry City (£250), who rank second and third in the cheapest rankings, are really not that dissimilar from the R’s.

The remaining three teams in the top six are Hull City (£300), Birmingham City (£300), and Cardiff City (£299).
