Should Brendan Rodgers be disciplined for his comments after the defeat to Hearts?

Michael Gannon: It’s inevitable he’ll get done and the rules are clear on questioning the competence of officials – regardless if they have a point. It just depends on how severe he’s hit and if he’ll miss Ibrox.

Graeme Young:Rodgers was het-up in Gorgie but the man who has made a career out of staying cool on the touchline will be aware his direct claims about John Beaton leaves little wiggle room. But the protracted date will offer plenty of time to fight the charge.

Do you think Rangers will finish the job off at Ibrox against Benfica?

Michael: Considering the absences due to injuries, the outcome in Portugal was excellent. Rangers should smell blood, and there had nothing to fear from Benfica the other night.

Graeme: Yes. Rangers have coughed up three consecutive leads against Benfica in recent years but the Portuguese giants appear one bad result from the wheels coming off and that appears likely at a white-hot Ibrox.

Scott: The fact that Rangers were disappointed not to win the game tells its own story. It will give them confidence they can finish the job at a packed out Ibrox.

Have Celtic left themselves short by letting Liel Abada and Alexandro Bernabei go this week?

Michael: Significantly. Abada ought to have been loaned out till the situation cleared up. After failing to sign a left back in January, Celtic were forced to hold onto Bernabei. Celtic has managed to walk themselves onto a narrow rope.

Graeme: Despite the fact that each was unlikely to play much for various reasons, the explosive left-back’s exit seems like a risky choice given that he was only starting games last month while Greg Taylor was out. The squad is currently disjointed in a number of areas.

Scott: Both boys were keen to go. I don’t think Abada will play again and it sees a decent return for Celtic. My concern with Bernabei would come if Taylor gets injured.

What four clubs do you think will progress and make up the Scottish Cup semi-finals?

Michael: Hearts will do the business, Celtic and Rangers will need to scrape to get through and Killie will add to Aberdeen’s woe.

Graeme: Aberdeen with a logic-denying rousing win plus Rangers in a thriller and Celtic and Hearts to have too much.

Scott: I fear Kilmarnock will add to Aberdeen’s misery. Celtic and Rangers will both progress and Hearts should see off Morton, although it could be tight.
