Oliver Glasner is expected to watch the upcoming match between Everton and Crystal Palace alongside Steve Parish.

That is according to Fabrizio Romano [X, 17 February], who explained that the manager will take his first Eagles training session on Tuesday (20 February).

Romano added that Glasner was in the stands as Tottenham Hotspur lost 2-1 at home to Wolves on Saturday (17 February).

Everton may have just been handed a much-needed boost with this update, with the Toffees needing all the help they can get right now.

The Merseyside outfit are heavily involved in a Premier League relegation battle, and simply must win their upcoming match.

Fellow strugglers Crystal Palace travel to Goodison Park for the league clash under the lights on Monday (19 February) with Ray Lewington expected to be in charge.

And the visiting players may just be distracted by events in the dugout, with Roy Hodgson having been ruled out of the trip after falling ill.

It is sad news for the Eagles, but good news for the Toffees, who can use the situation to their advantage as they try and clinch all three points at Goodison.

There are, however, also some positive signs for Crystal Palace, with incoming boss Glasner clearly keen on doing his homework.

The manager made the trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium given that his new club will travel there at the beginning of March.
