Manchester City are always in search of great talents to acquire them and strengthen their already star-studded squad.
This time they have identified West Ham United star Lucas Paqueta as the next possible target. According to a report published in Fichajes, the English club is ready to spend €70 million to acquire the services of the midfielder.
The Citizens are reportedly making a detailed roadmap to land Paqueta at the Etihad Stadium ahead of the next season. They came close to signing Paqueta last summer but unfortunately, the deal didn’t go through. Hence, this time they are planning a concrete offer which the player and West Ham United cannot ignore.

Lucas Paqueta has been one of the most promising talents in the Premier League ever since joining West Ham United in the summer of 2022. In no time, he became an influential player for his side. His impressive performances attracted the limelight and hence, the interest from other clubs.
The 26-year-old has featured in 18 league games this season so far, netting twice and assisting five times. He averages 1.4 key passes, 1.2 shots, and 1.6 dribbles per game in the league. Apart from offensive contributions, he is equally good in the defensive aspects. He averages 2.4 tackles, 0.7 interceptions and 0.8 clearances each game (stats via whoscored).
Paqueta has played multiple roles for the Hammers, performing all the roles convincingly. He is a versatile, consistent and effective player and adds a lot of value to his team.
