The Italian media revealed today that Leicester City and Inter Milan are still awaiting a “green light” for the move, amidst the Stefano Sensi scandal.

The clubs are reportedly still working out the terms of the transfer mechanism, which might involve a long-term agreement or a loan with a purchase obligation.

It’s time for Calcio Mercato to provide an update on the matter, asserting that Leicester City and Inter Milan have not yet reached a deal. The outlet claims that the deal seemed done, based on a €500k move with a €2m bonus if the Foxes are promoted to the Premier League. And it’s the English club who are trying to change the conditions, turning it into a loan with purchase obligation, just to postpone the payment.

Inter Milan want the deal done now, though, especially because a loan would require them to extend Sensi’s contract, which expires in the summer.

Calcio Mercato make it clear the deal ‘does not seem to be in danger’, and Leicester City continue trying to unblock it.
