On January 12, Cameron Campbell announced on Twitter that he was leaving Rangers due to rumors that he was joining RB Leipzig.

The Scottish Sun claims that the former under-18 coach for the Gers spent three and a half years with the team and is currently being linked to a move to the Bundesliga.

He was even elevated to PDP Talent Development Coach back in August.

He stated on Twitter: “It has been an honor to work with some incredible people for the past 3.5 years, both on and off the field. An amazing chance that I never took for granted, from seeing young players from the academy play for RangersFC and launch successful careers in the sport to taking home the U18 League and Scottish Youth Cup championships.

“I’m overwhelmed by the kind words that players, parents, and staff have sent me; they’re all very appreciated.”

Good luck

In helping the club’s young players grow, Campbell was a major factor in their victories in the Scottish Youth Cup and the under-18 League.

He most likely had to oversee the development of new players at the academy and maintain a consistent stream of players for the starting lineup.

The quality of Campbell’s work is demonstrated by the fact that his research was included in a UEFA Champions League Technical Report, suggesting that his influence has transcended beyond the field.

Rangers fans can wish Campbell the best of luck in his new endeavors, knowing that he will continue to make major contributions to player development at the highest level. It is unclear if Campbell will advance to become a first-team coach in the future. Rangers will undoubtedly miss his knowledge, dedication, and the positive influence he had on the youth setup. His departure, possibly to RB Leipzig, suggests recognition of his coaching prowess.
