Reo Hatate is reportedly going to be able to return to the team for the match against Dundee at Dens Park as early as tomorrow. It is a welcome surprise because most people had assumed he would not be able to play until after the winter break. Naturally, Reo has not appeared in a game since sustaining a hamstring injury early in Celtic Park’s Champions League match against Atletico Madrid in October.

Brendan Rodgers claims that Reo is now strong and fit and performing well in training, but he is still being carefully evaluated as the coaching staff determines if it is worth the risk to put him back into action right away in such an important game.

I think it would be dangerous, if not foolhardy, to put him back into action so soon. Sure, if he is ready, but there is a serious danger, particularly considering that he has two physically taxing games scheduled for the upcoming week.

Everyone can see how much we miss him, but I would rather to see him return when he is completely ready rather than take the chance of losing him to someone else.
