Salmon wasted no time in building on her recent goal-scoring form. Staniforth delivered a perfectly weighted through ball down the left, allowing Salmon to pounce and slot home a ruthless opener.

Following a brief lull after the initial goal, Villa displayed relentless efficiency, with Lehmann driving a powerful effort past the near post from the right. Pacheco then notched her second goal of the season, benefitting from a deflection on her long-range attempt that left the goalkeeper helpless.

After the halftime interval, Sarah Mayling tested the opposition with a free-kick, and Chelsea Ferguson had a rare foray forward, stinging the palms of Anna Leat.

Carla Ward made strategic substitutions at the hour mark, introducing Jordan Nobbs, Daly, Kenza Dali, and Simone Magill. Daly swiftly made an impact, converting Magill’s cutback, and Lehmann added the fifth with a finish at the back post.

Two late goals added further sheen to the scoreline, with Daly and Magill finding the net. Villa extended their winning streak to four games, maintaining a perfect record in the Conti Cup group stage.
