The Light Blues were shocked to lose 2-1 at Aris Limassol in their previous matchup, but under new manager Philippe Clement, everything is different at Ibrox as his team is off to a great start in his new era.

In an attempt to make a run at the Europa League, Abdallah Sima predicts that Rangers will triumph away at Sparta Prague.

Following Michael Beale’s dismissal, Steven Davis and company took over as caretaker managers of the Light Blues, although they lost their most recent matchup, shockingly, 2-1, to bottom-seeded Aris Limassol. Since then, Philippe Clement has taken over as manager, and he gave his tenure the ideal start by defeating Hibs resoundingly at Ibrox.

With Sima scoring twice and Nicolas Raskin and Cyriel Dessers finding the net in the 4-0 victory, the Ibrox men can now confidently travel to the Czech Republic. The Brighton attacker, who is now on loan, has faced Rangers’ European opponents before, having played for Slavia Prague prior to moving to England.

The attacker is aware that his team will have challenges, but he is confident that Govan’s talent will allow them to win three crucial points away from home and advance to the competition’s final rounds. Because of his prior club connections, the 22-year-old is aware that the home crowd will probably give him a hard time, but he is prepared to do all it takes to win.

He said: “I know them well from my time in the Czech Republic and it will be a hard game for us. The quality we have here makes me think we can beat them over there. That’s what I believe.

“Sparta are the biggest team in the Czech Republic, so we are going to have to play at the level we showed against Hibs. But I am expecting us to win.

“For sure. It is two years since I left Prague but I have a lot of good memories of my time in that city. I was a Slavia Prague player, so for sure, the Sparta fans will not like me! But I am happy to be going there in a Rangers shirt and will be doing everything to win this game.”
