Since the derby against Inter, AC Milan has been among the top five defensive teams in Europe.

Fikayo Tomori and Malick Thiaw are to thank for it; the latter has piqued international curiosity.

For over €8 million, Thiaw moved from Schalke 04 to Milan last summer, but his first six months there were quite difficult. He was given the opportunity at the beginning of the year and hasn’t looked back since, securing his place in the starting XI.

Sky Italia, quoted by MilanNews, claims that the German is drawing interest from abroad, with West Ham appearing to be the most direct connection. For Milan, a “huge capital gain” may be in the cards.

The Rossoneri will only sell Thiaw if they receive an offer they can’t refuse, as happened this past summer when Newcastle purchased Sandro Tonali for €70 million. If the English side is sincere about their interest, it remains to be seen.
