Efan Ekoku is devastated for the Nottingham Forest star following the embarrassing incident.Nottingham Forest star Danilo set for Brazil recall | Daily Mail Online

During yesterday’s game, Efan Ekoku expressed condolences to Nottingham Forest star Danilo. The Reds defeated Chelsea 1-0 away from home.

But it was heartbreak for the Brazilian. Danilo came to a halt in pain, with no one around him, after chasing a loose ball that had been clipped into his path down the line.

Ekoku expressed sympathy as he lay writhing in anguish on the ground. The former Premier League footballer was heartbroken for Danilo and hoped that the situation was not as terrible as it appeared.

Danilo has been an important player for Forest, and the two weeks without a game should offer the Reds star an opportunity in the upcoming game. If not, the club now has options in midfield with the arrival of Ibrahim Sangare on deadline day.

“I don’t like seeing a player go down like that,” the pundit stated on Premier League Productions. It doesn’t look good for him; nevertheless, a hamstring may have given way. I hope it’s something minor for his benefit because he’s a fantastic player and I enjoy watching him.

Ekoku was gutted for Forest’s Danilo.
It’s never easy to witness a player injured on the field after going down unopposed. When this happened, the Chelsea players were kind and kicked the ball out of play.

The Reds will be hoping that Danilo recovers fast from this one. Forest have had a solid start to the 2023/24 season, and hopefully, the Brazilian will not be out for too long.

Ekoku expressed genuine concern for the player. During his examination of the injury, he was quick to laud the athlete, indicating that he enjoys watching him play.

Last season, Danilo matured as a player. He scored some crucial goals for the Reds as they clinched Premier League survival, and hopefully he can recover from this injury as soon as possible.
